Come to the Midlands for a weekend of mountain biking bliss. With guided routes through private farmlands, forest and nature reserve – you'll discover the real Midlands countryside of forgotten falls, valley vistas and wildlife.

Duration: 2.5 Days / 2 Nights

Tour Type: Lodge to Lodge MTB Routes with full Vehicle Support. Fully inclusive luxury tour.

You'll overnight in comfortable guesthouses and farmstays, with farm breakfasts & hearty country cuisine to look forward to. A professional cycle guide will accompany you – taking care of the route and any mechanicals enroute, whilst your luggage is transferred from lodge to lodge and all logistics are taken care of.

This MTB tour is aimed at mountain bikers looking for ‘time in the saddle' in beautiful surrounds – i.e. LSR rides, in training for longer distance or multi-stage events such as Sabi or Sani2C.

Tour Details:

Starting out in the Curries Post, Saturday's ride will take us through some private farms & forestry before a thrilling 8 kilometre single-track descent of bridges, berms and sexy curves. After descending down into the Karkloof valley, we'll head out towards the falls with some more single-track in store. After a picnic lunch at Woodhouse falls, we'll head back to our 4-star lodging (with transfers offered to those who had one too many beers at lunch). The afternoon can be spent whizzing through the trees with Karkloof Canopy Tours, or simply soaking up some of good midlands vibes. After sundowners at the Crowned Crane hide one can look forward to a gourmet dinner back at the lodge.

Sunday's ride will take us down some flowing track above the Karkloof falls and then along a contour track with sweeping views down into Game Valley. Depending on the aptitude of the group, we'll either head up to the firetower to play on the switchy descents of Howick's singletrack or make our way through an avo plantation and across to Umgeni Valley, where we'll follow the “ Inkonka ” trail – affording unforgettable vistas down into the valley.

We'll finish up at the historic old farmhouse, where one can enjoy one the “slow-food” specialties before transferring back to your vehicles.

Price: R 2,830/ pp per Rider (Based on a minimum of 4 persons)
