N3TC KARKLOOF ADVENTURE QUEST - Sat 14th August, 2010

An adventure race with a treasure hunt quest....

Be the first to discover the New Balance "treasure" in this multi-sport, adventure quest event. Traversing pristine mistbelt forest and grasslands of the Karkloof Nature Reserve, participants can expect some challenging ascents, swooping single-track and whizzing descents. A truly multi-discipline adventure event with mountain biking, trail running/hiking, canopy ziplining, basic navigation, clue-finding / problem solving and obstacle activities in store.

This event is aimed at multisport enthusiasts, mountain bikers and novice - intermediate adventure racers. To follow the course, only basic navigation skills will be needed, but to seek out the treasure you'll need to know your latitude from longitude!

The race will take anything from 4 - 7.5 hours to finish, so be sure to pack an extra goo.. or two. As last year's participants discovered, knowing a Trogan from a Trojan may come in use, whilst cryptic clues are part of the course.

The N3TC Karkloof Adventure Quest is an initiative of the Southern KZN Birding Route, with generous sponsorship from the N3 Toll Concession.
